Barcelona had to make do without Olmo and Victor in the Copa del Rey on Saturday as the two players are not registered with the club currently. The Catalan giants have seen La Liga and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) reject their most recent attempts to register the duo, leaving both players "tremendously angry" and facing uncertain futures.

Flick saw his side enjoy a 4-0 win over fourth tier opposition without the duo but was quizzed about the situation after the game. The German coach insisted his team are coping well in the circumstances, despite the ongoing saga, but admitted he and his squad want to have both players back playing again.

He told reporters: "Everyone wants Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor back. We played focused, we played well. I haven't seen the team suffer because of this situation, we are professionals and the players have done well. We have to be professional and accept the situation of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor. I try not to let it affect the team's performance."

Barcelona are now set to fly out to Saudi Arabia for a Supercopa de Espana semi-final against Athletic Club, with the winners of the tie due to face Mallorca or Real Madrid in the final. In the meantime, Barca are expected to continue their battle to register Olmo and Victor with a fresh court appeal.
